Dear Traders

Welcome to today's strategy on the ICT Judas Swing trading strategy, brought to you by Inner Circle Trading.

The Judas Swing often manifests as a high or low within the daily range, often shaping the intraday high or low within its structure. It can be seen as a misleading tactic that tricks traders into misinterpreting the actual direction of the day's trend.

During the pre-market sessions, swing highs and lows will be formed. Similar to a quantitative analyst, the market tends to open with price movements that deceive traders by initially breaking through one side of the high or low from the pre-market session. This fakeout then swiftly reverses, causing traders to hit their stop losses and abandon their positions.

This strategy focuses on the London session, typically between 2:00 AM and 5:00 AM New York local time, and targets the highest and lowest price levels reached during the Asia session and the opening price at New York midnight (NY 00:00).

Traders using the ICT Judas Swing strategy look for signs of a market structure shift, indicating a potential change in direction. They then identify an optimal entry point aligned with the anticipated market movement.

By recognizing liquidity grabs at key price levels and understanding market structure shifts, traders can pinpoint potential opportunities for profitable trades.

Here is a step-by-step guide for you to find and trade a Judas Swing:

⦁ Identify the Trend: Determine the overall market trend using a higher timeframe analysis. Look for bearish or bullish signals on daily or 4-hour charts.

⦁ Mark Liquidity Levels: Identify previous session highs and lows as potential liquidity levels. Market makers are likely to hunt for stop orders in these areas before reversing the price.

⦁ Wait for the Judas Swing: During the London Open or shortly after New York Midnight, watch for a move that breaks through the identified liquidity levels but fails to sustain momentum.

⦁ Entry Points: Enter trades against the initial breakout direction once the Judas Swing is confirmed, i.e., when the price reverses back through the liquidity level.

⦁ Stop Loss and Take Profit: Place stop losses beyond the extreme points of the Judas Swing to protect against false breakouts. Set take profit levels at the next significant support or resistance, or use a fixed risk-reward ratio of at least 1:3.
