Here is the correct way to trade with fair value gaps. First, go to TradingView, search fair value Gap, and then click on the one by Luxalgo.

Now, you will be able to see all FVGs on your chart with dashed lines. To improve this setup, we want to clean this up and only show significant fair value gaps by going into the settings and selecting the auto threshold. This allows the indicator to detect the average best size of each fair value gap to filter out the insignificant ones, so now we can use these to find levels to trade alongside price action.

Let me give you an example. Here, the indicator has already detected an FVG, and we are waiting for the price to test this FVG.

As soon as the price tests this FVG, we place a market buy order with a stop loss below the recent low and set a target of 1:2 or more risk to reward, depending on the order blocks above.
